To participate in the SAC Scavenger Hunt,
students must pick up a list of clues from the SAC office or download the form
from the SAC website.
Students must complete the scavenger hunt individually. Only one (1) name may be listed on the completed sheets. Students
can only enter the contest draw once.
The completion of scavenger hunt lists (at
least 75% of the clues or 15 of the 20 must be completed for the list to be
considered valid) and submission with any related proofs (i.e. photos or
objects required by clues) earns the student an entry in the contest draw for a
chance to win an iPod Nano.
Completed lists, including proof for clues that require it (i.e. photos or
objects) must be submitted in the original submission envelope to the SAC
office by 12PM on Friday November 25
to be valid. Clues missing proof will be invalid and will not count towards the
final total of completed clues. The student’s name, phone number, and email must
be listed on the completed form.
The contest draw, to win an iPod Nano, will take place on Friday November 25th
by random drawing of the entered names. The winner will be announced at the Tom
Fun Orchestra concert on Saturday November 26th. The winner of the
draw will be contacted after the announcement has been made and will be able pick
up the prize on Monday November 28th in the SAC Office. The winner
must provide valid proof of identity (student card or other photo ID) to
collect prize.
Scavenger hunt participants must be current
students (either part or full time) at Mount Allison University to be eligible
to enter the contest draw. Students who occupy elected or appointed positions
on the Students’ Administrative Council are ineligible to participate in the
contest draw.
Food Bank Contest Rules & Guidelines
To enter the Food Bank Contest, students must bring a non-perishable food item
into the SAC Office between Monday
November 21 and Friday November 25 @ 12PM.
Students may enter the Contest as many times as they want; each non-perishable
food item they bring in earns them a ballot.
Ballots must be stamped by the SAC stamp and include the student’s name, phone
number, and email address.
Students can only win the Contest once; if their name is drawn as a winner, all
of their other ballots in the Contest become void.
Five (5) students’ names will be randomly drawn after the Contest closes on
Friday November 25 at 12PM. Winners will be notified by phone or email on the
day of the draw. The winners’ names will be added to the master list for the
Tom Fun Orchestra. Winners must present valid photo ID (student card OR other)
to gain entry to the concert.
Facebook
Contest & Guidelines
To enter the Facebook Contest, students must complete two (2) steps;
1) ‘LIKE’ the Mount Allison SAC Facebook page (if students already have liked
the page, they can skip to Step 2)
2) Post on the wall of the Mount Allison SAC Facebook page detailing (as much
or as little) how they use the SAC. Posts could include but is not limited to
involvement in a SAC Club/Society, application or receiving of funding through
SAC, use of Condom Service, Car Pool, or Housing Service.
The Mount Allison SAC Facebook page will be monitored daily and all student
posts will be recorded and valid students’ names will be added to a random
draw. The Contest begins on Monday November 21 and ends on Friday November 25
at 12PM.
Student posts on use of the SAC must involve valid (but not necessary current –
could involve services offered in last 6 years but not currently offered) SAC
services and programs.
Students may only enter draw once – multiple posts on the Mount Allison SAC
wall will not count towards the draw.
After 12PM on Friday November 25, five (5) winners will be drawn randomly from
all valid students in the Contest. Winners will be contacted on the day of the
draw by Facebook and Email. The winners’ names will be added to the master list
of the Tom Fun Orchestra Concert. Winners must present valid photo ID (student
card OR other) to gain entry to the concert.
